I would like to congratulate Senator Sessions on winning his 3rd term. He now joins the group of "lifer" politicians that no longer represent their honest, hard working constituents and instead represent the special interests that finance their campaigns. I will continue contacting Mr. Sessions in an attempt to "keep him in line" with the Constitution and smaller government.

I would like to thank everyone that supported, encouraged, endorsed & voted for me.

I just spoke with the Elections Division in the Secretary of State's Office. I was informed that Write-in votes will be tabulated and reported between Nov 22-25.
Sincerely,

3) October 31, is Halloween, people will already be going door-to-door; instead of asking for candy from your neighbors, give them Zero Dollar

For Immediate Release

Senate Candidate applauds Vivian Figures invitation to debate Jeff Sessions and challenged Ms. Figures to 2 debates

Darryl W. Perry, Alabama Statesmen/Boston Tea Party nominee/write-in candidate for US Senate, applauds the decision by Vivian Davis Figures to issue a debate challenge to Senator Jeff Session. A spokesman for Senator Sessions has stated that the Senator would probably decline the invitation. So, Darryl W. Perry issues a challenge to Vivian Figures to 2 debates; one in Mobile and one in Birmingham. Mr. Perry's letter is below.

Ms. Figures,

I applaud your decision to invite Jeff Sessions to a debate. As the Alabama Statesmen/Boston Tea Party nominee/write-in candidate for US Senate, I would like to appear at any debate; and invite you to debate me in Birmingham on October 29. I am also willing to debate you on October 21 or 28 in Mobile.

Sincerely,
Darryl W. Perry

Senate Candidate endorses "Resolution to Denounce the $850 Billion Congressional Bailout Package"

For Immediate Release

Senate Candidate endorses "Resolution to Denounce the $850 Billion Congressional Bailout Package"

Darryl W. Perry has endorsed the Boston Tea Party's "Resolution to Denounce the $850 Billion Congressional Bailout Package", which in part reads:
Whereas, the United States Congress, consisting of the U.S. House of Representatives and the United States Senate, passed an $850 billion congressional bailout package
Whereas, the bailout will tack on an additional $112 billion to the current deficit over a period of five years because the legislation contains no provision to dramatically cut spending and tax levels, and
Whereas, the pork-barrel laced bill is laden with a gamut of tax breaks and subsidies to numerous tax-funded welfare recipients, including, but not limited to the following:
* Renewable energy credit
* Tax and energy credits for a variety of boondoggles such as small wind property, geothermal heating pump systems, biodiesel and renewable diesel, increases in and special rules for the coal excise tax, etc.
* Extensions of the alternative extension tax, new market credits, deductions for state and local sales taxes, etc.
* Mental health parity
* Indian employment credit
And
* Puerto Rican and Virgin Island rum producers, and
Whereas, the bailout has failed to rescue the entire financial services industry from financial doom, furthering the plummeting of the Dow Jones, the NASDAQ, and the entire stock market, then

Be it resolved that the Boston Tea National Committee denounces, opposes, and condemns the $850 billion bailout package, as it deepens the financial crisis on Wall Street and Main Street and fleeces the American taxpayers of their hard-earned money to bailout companies, a practice that can be easily called economic fascism (or corporate socialism), and
Calls for the reduction or elimination of income, withholding, and all other taxes on productivity and consumption and the burden on entrepreneurs,
Calls for an introduction of a way to compete with the Federal Reserve in the interim and the repeal of legal tender laws, which prohibit a competitive free market currency system,
Calls for all bills for raising revenue to originate in the House of Representatives, as the bailout bill that originated in the Senate calls for raising revenue and has changed the current tax code and regulations, and thus is unconstitutional,
Encourages the incremental move from the state capitalistic system comprising of a mixed (fascistic) economy to a laissez-faire (free market) capitalism, and
Reinforces the need for federal and state accountability on the corrupt, fraudulent, and rotten actions of the regulators, bureaucrats, and corporatists aligned with the banking, financial, and mortgage sectors, and thus
The Boston Tea National Committee repudiates the fascistic and socialist direction of the United States, the legislative actions of the Congress, and the executive actions and directives by the President of the United States, especially with respect to its support for the bailout and its support for subsidizing, coddling, protecting, and backing Wall Street, Main Street, and the financial services industry."

Candidate Updates October 7, 2008

For Immediate Release

Candidate Updates October 7, 2008

1) Paul-O-Meter
2) Rasmussen Poll
3) Advertising

Darryl W. Perry is still the highest rated candidate (aside from Ron Paul) on Paul-O-Meter. (96.7% compared to Jeff Sessions (23.1%)).

On September 22, Rasmussen Reports released the results from their latest poll concerning the US Senate election. "Other" is polling 4% against the two ballot listed opponents. As I am the only write-in candidate, I'm taking that to mean that with your help, I am polling 4%. While this is exciting news for the campaign, I would like to be at 5% or more by Election Day.

With exactly 4 weeks to the election, it is crunch-time to get out the message of smaller government, and the campaign to write-in Darryl W. Perry for US Senate. To help do this, I have purchased an ad on DCPoliticalReport.com; and encourage you to write letters to your local paper with the reasons you're supporting my candidacy. I encourage you to tell your friends, family and neighbors about my campaign. I also encourage you to contact the Secretary of State asking that she encourage the State Legislature to make ballot access easier for those that aren't members of the Republican or Democratic Party and to create an official Write-in Declaration form. I you would like a yard sign; you may purchase on from http://cafepress.com/BTPAlabama - this is a dual campaign sign, Charles Jay for President and Darryl W. Perry for US Senate.

Sincerely,
Darryl W. Perry
